Ever since the discovery of Noah 2 on 10-16-4604, Interstel's scientists and explorers have been uncovering information and secrets about the past. At the same time, these intrepid heroes have been making history of their own. Below, in the first table, is a summarized version of the timeline, citing events which Command believes are of greater interest to its captains and are more important in the galactic timeline.
THE TIMELINE THROUGH MID-4642

YEAR
	THE EARLIEST ERA
	The Ancients ruled the galaxy. All that they left behind were pyramid-like ruins, several advanced artifacts, strange lumps of material called endurium, and a gigantic star-flaring weapon called the Crystal Planet.
	THE LEGHKIAN AGE - c.1000000 YEARS AGO
	The Leghk and Dweenle inhabit the Leghk Sector. The Uhl arrives and begins taking control of the Leghk. Billions die in a civil war which ends with all free Leghk being killed or corrupted. During the war, the remaining free Leghk open the Anomaly into the future so that they may escape the Uhl. The Uhl's Leghk capture the Anomaly and the Uhl sends its offspring through. The free Leghk have no choice but to trigger six supernovae in an attempt to destroy the Uhl. Their ploy fails, but the Cloud Nebula is formed. The free Leghk commit suicide. Years later, the Uhl and its Leghk flee the sector in an attempt to evade a wave of flaring suns.
	AGE OF DISCOVERY
2100	Humans discover endurium.
2150	Humans discover endurium's superphotonic (faster than light) properties. Exploration and colonization begins. Rise of the Old Empire.
2300	Empire encounters the Veloxi. Minor skirmishes ensue.
2400	Human-Veloxi Treaty is signed.
2498	Empire establishes the Babylon 2 colony. The colony represents the pinnacle of Imperial architecture and becomes known as the cultural center of the entire Empire.
	THE GOLDEN AGE
2650	Endurium is found in abundance. The Golden Age begins.
2675	Empire discovers the pre-technological Spemin and begins to teach them science and technology.
2684	First contact between Thrynn and Elowan. Thrynn distrust Elowan almost immediately.
2693	Hostilities begin between Thrynn and Elowan.
2770	Empire encouters Thrynn and Elowan. Human mediators quiet hostilities between the two alien races.
2790	Spemin attack the Empire.
2800	Elowan colonists begin to head coreward and establish new worlds.
2812	Elowan establish Elan as their nursery world.
2815	Thrynn begin to survey nearby worlds for colonization. A dispute with the Elowan over the world Elan begins. Thrynn annex Aytlrthyss.
2850	Imperial Code of Interstellar Warfare (Surrender Procedure) is established.
	THE AGE OF FIRE The Great Interstellar War
3000	First Wave begins. Numlox and Phlegmak invaders attack the Empire. Spemin beg for Imperial protection and it is granted.
3062	Babylon 2 colony is destroyed by the Numlox.
3120	Veloxi Pact of 3120 is signed. Veloxi and Empire ally.
3190	Interplanetary Treaty is signed.
3210	Trans-sentient-inviolate-region Treaty is signed.
3225	Akteron Treaty is signed.
3260	First Wave ends. Numlox and Phlegmak are destroyed. Spemin betray Empire again.
3327	A human pirate named Harrison raids Imperial cargo runners near the Staff, stealing all of their food, water, and fuel, and then leaving the crews adrift.
3330	Harrison's pirates steal the Veloxi focusing stone (ellipsoid). Veloxi enter isolation.
3334	Harrison is sighted on Thoss. He eludes capture.
3382	Commander McConnell fails to destroy the Crystal Planet, but makes a shocking discovery: the Ancients are endurium.
3400	Second Wave begins. Gazurtoid and Uhlek invaders attack the Empire. Spemin ask again for Imperial protection and are refused. They side with the Gazurtoid and Uhlek under the guise of aquatic creatures. Veloxi refuse to aid the Empire.
3440	Mardan 2 headquarters destroyed by the Uhlek. Imperial morale broken.
3450	The Noah Project (aka Project Noah) is initiated by the Institute.
3452	A young human named Layton leads a terrorist campaign against the Empire. The first target of the Laytonites is the Noah Project's Venusian Launch Center.
3454	Noah 2 (Arthlings) launches. The expedition is attacked by Gazurtoid near the Staff and survives only through accidental passage through a flux.
3457	Laytonites assassinate the Emperor.
3459	Laytonites bomb a Thrynn armory on Thoss and a Thrynn troop transport near Arth.
3462	Laytonites bomb an Elowan transport carrying human and Elowan refugees to Eleran.
3466	Noah 6 (Lowar and Umanu) launches.
3479	Mechan 9 launch for Heaven.
3480	Laytonites bomb Noah 9. Earth falls to the invaders. The Empire is destroyed.
3481	With the humans gone, there is nobody left to control the Thrynn. They attack the Elowan and drive most of them from the Elowan homeworld, Eleran.
3483	Thrynn Confederacy of Planets is created.
3484	Confederate Marines capture Layton and a number of his followers on Eleran. The Laytonites are put to death via vaporization for crimes against the Empire. Thrynn records state that Layton's execution, done via "acidic dotting", takes two hours to complete.
3486	Confederate Marines finish cleansing Eleran of Elowan. Thrynn colonists begin landing planetside. Instead of giving the planet a Thrynn name, the Thrynn deal out an insult by calling it Old Eleran.
3505	Bomb hits Arth, creating the Southern Hot Zone. Underground colonists are forced to the surface.
	THE DARK YEARS
3520	Arth society collapses. Beginning of the Dark Years.
3529	Elowan attack Thoss. The attack fleet is defeated and chased all the way to the Four Seedlings before being destroyed.
3531	The Arth nation of Hiumar is created.
3536	The Arth nations of Gree, Jouv, and Xzikar are created.
3542	The Arth nation of Tohba is created.
3603	Uhlek move through Mechan space. They do not find Heaven.
3618	Gree invades and defeats Xzikar. Jouv attacks Gree. The Northern War begins.
3658	Jouv and Gree are in shambles. Tohba attacks both and easily wins. End of The Northern War.
3699	The Gazurtoid clash with the Veloxi. The Veloxi are infuriated by the conflict.
3711	Hiumar and Tohba construct their first navies.
3838	Noah 6 arrives in the Leghk Sector; Cloud Nebula is settled.
c.3840	The Lowar befriend the Tandelou.
c.3850	The Lowar befriend the Arla.
3915	The Hiumar Wars begin on Arth when Tohbanian ships attack a Hiumarian cargo fleet.
4156	The Hiumar Wars end with Tohbanian victory. Surviving Hiumarians escape into the wilderness.
4240	The Anomaly appears in the Leghk Sector. The Uhl's offspring passes through and seizes control of the Umanu. They attack the Lowar.
4241	The Lowarian vessel Elthar-esh passes through the Anomaly and retrieves Leghkian technology from the free Leghk. Elthar-esh barely makes it past the Uhl's Leghk and back through the Anomaly, but runs out of fuel before it can return the advanced technology to the Lowarian people. The failure of the mission condemns the Lowar.
4242	The Lowar are exterminated by the Umanu.
4312	The Hiumarian descendants are discovered. The Tohbanians admire the Hiumarian tenacity and welcome them into the fold.
	THE AGE OF HOPE
4400	Industrial revolution on Arth. A new council is established by Tohbanians and Hiumarians. All citizens unite under the name "Arthlings".
4500	Sublight technology is rediscovered.
4590	Interstel Corporation is founded.
4604	Interstel discovers Noah 2 and endurium in a series caverns.
4613	Starport Central begins construction in Arth orbit.
4615	Interstel dispatches its first superphotonic fleet. Thirteen ships leave, each with enough fuel for a one year voyage.
4616	ISS Parsec returns from its voyage.
4617	ISS Hyperion returns from Thrynn space with coordinates of endurium-rich worlds.
4620	The second fleet launches days before Arth's sun begins to enter pre-flare stages. Massive evacuation of Arthlings to other worlds begins. Creation of Arth Union of Worlds. AUW's first contact with Elowan, Gazurtoid, Mechans, Spemin, Thrynn, Uhlek, and Veloxi. Thrynn attempt to trick Interstel into destroying Elan. Uhlek Brain World is destroyed. Uhlek disappear. Cause of flares is traced to Crystal Planet. Crystal Planet is destroyed in a daring mission. Discovery of Commander McConnell's log reveals that the Ancients are endurium. Earth rediscovered. It meets colonization parameters.
4621	Endurium ban is enacted. Arthlings, Elowan, Thrynn, and Veloxi curtail use of the substance. Mechans completely cancel usage of the fuel. First Arthling colonists arrive on Earth.
4622	Last report of a Minstrel sighting.
4623	Thrynn Confederacy establishes a major military base on the planet Aytlrthyss. Cult of Harrison forms. The pirates use stolen and captured spacecraft to carry out attacks upon the Veloxi.
4624	Several species which originated on Earth are imported and reintroduced into the recovering ecosystem.
4630	Earth is declared "a living world once again".
	THE AGE OF CHAOS
4634	Spemin discover the flux to the Leghk Sector, as well as the fuel shyneum
4636	Spemin stumble across the Lowarian Elthar-esh derelict; acquire Leghkian technology. Spemin disrupt Leghk Sector trade; threaten Arth with invasion. Spemin steal the Most Valuable Thing from the Tandelou. The Eshvara and Eshvey factions blame each other for the theft; start of the Tandelou civil war.
4638	Interstel learns the location of the Earth-Leghk flux. Engineering ships enter the Leghk Sector. Construction of Starport Outpost 1 begins.
4639	Third Interstel fleet is launched from SO1. Their mission is to capture Leghkian technology and secure the shyneum source.
4640	Confirmation that there were 13 Noah groups launched. Interstel retrieves the Most Valuable Thing from G'Aeresch and returns it to the Tandelou. The civil war ends.
4641	Interstel obtains Leghkian technology via the Anomaly. Discovery that the Uhlek were the Leghk. Interstel defeats the Uhl's offspring; frees the Umanu. Discovery that the Umanu are Noah 6. First annual Earth-Leghk Sectorial Peace Accords take place on Starport Outpost 1 near the end of October. Arthling, Dweenle, Elowan, Humna Humna, Mechan, Tandelou, Thrynn, Umanu, and Veloxi diplomats attend; Arla attend via commlink. Issues include a resolution to the Thrynn-Elowan feud, a linking of sector trade routes and economies, shyneum distribution, and policies concerning non-spacefaring species.
4642	Despite progress during the 4641 ELSPA, Thrynn and Elowan continue to argue over the ownership of Elan. Umanu begin widespread shyneum distribution. The Second Golden Era of Trade begins.
