| Project Contribution |
|
The Starflight III project is composed of fans and several of the SF/SF2 authors. We are making no profit from this game, as we are distributing it for free and creating it in our own spare time. There are no legal problems in the way of this project, as we have the permission and support of the Binary Systems owner, so we are making and will finish the third official installment of the Starflight series. A list of project members and contributors can be found here. If you want to come aboard and help out, head to our forums and drop us a line. If you have something that you'd like to submit to us for inclusion in the game (which would also result in you being mentioned in the game's credits), feel free. Keep in mind that not all contributions will be used, and if your contribution isn't used you will not be credited. |
| Starflight III Information |
|
If you're seeking information about what sets up SFIII, make sure to check the graphics archive here at Starport
Central. In it, you will find pictures and specs for ships (new and old), and parts of the SF2-SFIII timeline, the period that sets up Starflight III: Mysteries of the Universe. You can check programming progress at the screenshots section and Starport Central Operations. NOTE: If you feel that the graphics archive will spoil the game for you in any way, DON'T VISIT IT! |
| Starflight III Release Date |
|
Since we're doing this in our spare time we don't know when completion will be. People join and people leave all the time, sometimes not getting anything done for us and sometimes not submitting what they have done, resulting in setbacks. This is one of the negatives of an internet-based fan project and everyone will just have to be patient. When the game is close to completion and release, believe us, you'll know. |
| Starflight III Downloads |
|
There are downloads available from time to time. You can grab files from the Starport Central download page. If the same file is downloadable from other addresses they will be linked to as well. |
| Starflight III: New Features |
Along with features from the previous games, SFIII will have a plethora of new ones, many of which have popped up in fan suggestions (which confirms that
we're doing things right!). Among the list:

| Got you interested? There's lots more where that came from. Stay tuned! |
| Making Suggestions |
|
If you want to make a suggestion or two (or more) for Starflight III, feel free to post it/them at the Interstel Comm
Center, which is the best way to get in contact with a project member. Keep in mind that not all suggestions will make it, and some things have already been decided upon. Also, suggestions concerning plot elements will not be accepted any more, as we already have a plot completed and enough work built upon it so that we won't be changing it. Suggestions on gameplay are welcome. |
